64. to lose, yet gain
And for a start, I shall be posting about a happy thing with a confused mood.
We, went to the library today. Peiyan arrived earlier than expected time. Kailin arrived shortly after. Willianto found the both of them. And they decide to play hide-and-seek with me. And, somehow I supposedly was supposed to seek, has decided to hide instead. Justin arrived super late after that. And Rebecca later. We met Si Wei, Grace, and Cherie somewhere in between the library and AMK Hub, awhile later.
Somehow, we(or maybe only I) ate a lot. And in the library, we were camping in the reference section. Claiming the 'science' section as our territory. And sat there for hours. Basically, finding definitions on 'electrophoresis', 'rate of migration', 'DNA fragments' and 'electrochromatography'. Reference books are not allowed to be borrowed, duh, and thus we are unable to bring it home for further research. So, we decided to photocopy a few pages. And for the rest, we handwritten them out on a piece of paper.
It wasn't necessary for us to go to the library to get definitions on the subject. The internet could do it far more comprehensively and faster than going to the library. But, of all things, we have to have more than one source. Thus, going to the library was to get that other source!
Somehow, since I'm very bored, I shall continue with the details.
Because Justin was unable to find his way from AMK Hub to the library, Kailin and I had to fetch him there. On the way there, we decided to call him, and perhaps ask him to come closer to the library. I was like asking him to stick his body to the "This Fashion's" shop glass, and moving forward, forward. And after asking him what was beside him, he said "an old man". And, at the slip of the tongue, from "This Fashion", it became "Old Fashion".
And, back to the library. Kailin somehow decided to search for 'electrophoresis' using a Chinese encyclopedia then translating it back to English. Which was funny. Speaking of which, the whole trip seemed exceptionally funny. Practically laughing throughout the whole thing, and at one go I laugh for at least a quarter of a minute. Then, Willianto said, "No wonder you are so thin. You eat so much, but you laugh a lot. Laughing kills calories." And I laughed more.
Vocabulary exchange day. Willianto learned two new words: innate and digress. And I learned one new word: depreciate. And, that word was taught in maths and I didn't know? Let's see how we learnt those words. For digress, I forgot. For innate, I was saying, "Is laming an innate skill?" And for depreciate. It was funny. Justin initially claimed he had ten dollars. After a few minutes, he said he had $4. Willianto said his money was depreciating. And, soon he will have only $2.
And, in order not to offend too much. Let's replace two names with 'he' and 'she'. She saw He. We kept telling She about He. And She always says: "I'm not interested." Oh, how She hates him.
Ah! Another thing. Peiyan's phone rang in the library. And it was like going "La, la, la, la, Elmo's World!" for a few times until we managed to track down whose phone it was and silent mode it. Since Peiyan was not there.
Best quote of the day: "Every book is a nice book." or "There is no book that is not nice."
Worst quote of the day: "...our modules helps..."
Notice grammatical error for the worst quote! Haha, was just random spotting of grammar mistakes as we walked out o the library. Somehow, today was a good day. Although even when I was out with them, I could feel...bittersweetness. Somehow.
And apart from that, another significant thing happened. And, I should not be saying it. Thus, it is exemplified through blanks that might have hidden blanks behind.
Losing; losing something. It somehow crushes you completely. But this time, it doesn't. Bittersweet, perhaps is what I feel. But somehow, it feels a little wrong. Yet it feels right. Bitter- to have lost. Sweet- to somehow feel that it is for a good purpose. Bittersweet- to have lost and somehow feel it is for a good purpose. It is better to once have, then to never have, yeah? Cherish everything around you; nothing lasts forever.
